PDF Issues

We are finding that more and more users are having having problems viewing files that are created in the Adobe pdf format. Either they do not open in the web browser (though this could be because it has not been set up correctly), or, when they do, the prodcution of the text is rather poor, making reading difficult.

We have found, that, rather than using the usual pdf reader issued by Adobe, the Acrobat Reader, that using the viewer produced by FoxIT Software, is by far better, both for online and offline viewing. The text is clearer and easier to handle. You can download this from their website. Please note, that on the first time using it online, it will take a little longer to start, as it will require a small file to be downloaded, to enable the viewing of the images in the pdf files. Once this has been installed, it is easy  to use.
